Term:	INSTRUMENT LANDING SYSTEM (ILS)
Meaning:	A precision instrument approach system which normally consists of the following electronic components and visual aids: Localizer. (See LOCALIZER.) Glideslope. (See GLIDESLOPE.) Outer Marker. (See OUTER MARKER.) Middle Marker. (See MIDDLE MARKER.) Approach Lights. (See AIRPORT LIGHTING.)
