Radar Collision Simulation
About this section: This subtest evaluates your capacity to monitor dynamic information, project trajectories, and prioritize safety interventions over secondary tasks. The exam consists of two parts, each lasting 8-10 minutes.
Instructions:
- Aircraft (dots) will spawn in waves on the edges of the rectangular radar and fly across.
- If two dots collide, it is a critical failure.
- Remove dots by pressing their corresponding Numpad Number (1-9).
- Pressing Zero: Press 0 when you are confident no collisions will occur. The exact criteria for this rule on the real exam is debated (whether it should be pressed only for waves that spawn with no collisions, or for every wave after you resolve collisions). Because of this ambiguity, our simulation allows you to practice either strategy. Note: Pressing 0 locks you out of removing targets until the next wave.
- Math Distractor:
- In Part 2, math problems will appear below the radar.
- Answer using the keyboard keys A, S, D, or F.
- You must prioritize safety while answering these questions. It is more important to prevent collisions than to answer the math questions.
Practice Options:

Strategy: Your goal is 0 collisions using the fewest plane removals possible.
