About this section: This subtest evaluates your short-term memory, mental math speed, and sustained attention under pressure. It is critical to stay focused and not let a mistake derail your rhythm. The real exam consists of 8 rounds of about 90 seconds each.
Instructions:
- A number between 1 and 9 will appear on the screen.
- The first number will remain for 2 seconds. After that, a new number appears right after you answer.
- Using your numpad, type the positive difference between the current number and the previous number.
Example: "5" appears (do nothing). Then "2" appears. You type "3". Then "6" appears. You type "4".
