Logic & Reading Comprehension

About this section: Controller manuals (such as the FAA 7110.65) are dense rulebooks. You must interpret and apply procedures exactly as written without making assumptions. This subtest evaluates your ability to process written information, apply complex rules, and make logical deductions under time constraints.

  • Word Problems: Determine sequences, arrangements, or logical conclusions.
  • Syllogisms: Identify which conclusion logically follows from a set of assumed truths.
  • Reading Comprehension: Extract facts and make inferences from technical paragraphs.
You will have 10 minutes to complete 5 practice questions. You are not allowed to use scratch paper during the actual exam.
